GENERAL:

Our regular office hours are Monday through Friday, 9AM to 3PM. Our office is closed on weekends and national holidays.

Our receiving hours are Monday - Thursday, 8 AM - 4 PM and Friday 8 AM to 3 PM.

PLACING ORDERS:

Snowdrift Farm has no minimum order. We accept orders via our online shopping cart or telephone only. We do not accept "walk-in" orders at our warehouse.

Snowdrift Farm processes orders on a first come, first served basis. Your order will be processed and shipped within 2 business days of receipt of payment.

We do not accept orders or order changes via email. If you wish to amend your order, you MUST call. Our toll free number is 1.888.999.6950.

Snowdrift Farm does not ship "on approval". We do not accept returns on essential or fragrance oils, or raw materials/ingredients. Once a raw material has left our warehouse, we have no way of verifying that it remained unsealed and unused. Please request samples before purchasing. There are no exceptions.

HOW WE MEASURE:

All liquids are measured by volume; dry products are measured by weight. Exceptions, if any, are posted to the web page on which they occur.

SAMPLES: For samples of essential and fragrance oils, please visit our essential and fragrance oils samples page. Small quantities of all other materials are available for purchase at our website. Single units of packaging are available for sale on our website.

PAYMENT:

Snowdrift Farm accepts VISA, MASTERCARD, AMERICAN EXPRESS, DISCOVER, PayPal, bank checks and money orders. Please do not send cash. Regretfully, we DO NOT accept personal or business checks. Please do not send them. Personal and business checks will be voided and returned.

If we receive a "decline" on a credit or debit card payment, we will not ship until the payment has cleared. Snowdrift Farm makes every attempt to notify the customer if a card declines. It is the cardholder's responsibility to contact their bank to understand why the charge is not being honored by that bank. We do not charge a fee to the cardholder when the card declines.

For credit and debit card payments: please ensure that the billing address you give to us is the same address as on your card statement.

CANCELED ORDERS:

Order cancellations: If your order has shipped, we can not cancel it.

SPECIAL ORDERS:

Custom orders requiring custom materials, such as fragrance oils, may have a 3-4 week lead time. We charge up to 100% of the sales price prior to shipping.

BULK ORDERS: Some bulk orders require a lead time. We will inform you of any lead time at the time you request a quote or place your order. We charge 100% of the sales price and shipping cost at the time you place your order.

BACKORDERS:

Snowdrift Farm does not usually backorder items. We will make every attempt tp contact you if we have a backorder situation. If we can not reach you, and an item is out of stock when we receive your order, we will adjust your invoice to reflect the proper product total and shipping cost and credit your account on file.

CUSTOMER PICK-UPS:

Orders may be picked up from our warehouse Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 3PM ONLY. We require pre-payment and 24 hours notice for customer pick-up orders.

You may purchase and pick up bulk amounts of lye and alcohol. These weights may also be shipped via commercial freight (truck). Please call us to make purchase and shipping arrangements.

SHIPPING POLICY:

Snowdrift Farm ships via UPS or USPS within the 48 contiguous US states, HI, AK, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands. Some points in Hawaii and Alaska may receive hazmat shipments (i.e., lye and alcohol) BY AIR ONLY. Additional charges apply.

We ship to all points UPS and USPS deliver to. Please ask us if your international delivery point is unavailable via the shopping cart. Depending upon global conditions, we may ship.

Snowdrift Farm NEVER ships via parcel post. This shipping method usually results in damages and late deliveries. Please do not ask us to ship parcel post anywhere in the world. We ship only via Priority Mail and Global Express.

ALL UPS GROUND SHIPMENTS TO CANADA INCUR A UPS BROKERAGE FEE. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS.

UPS WILL NOT DELIVER YOUR ORDER UNTIL THE CUSTOMS FEES ARE PAID. UPS DOES NOT TELL US THE AMOUNT OF YOUR CUSTOMS BROKERAGE FEE.

SNOWDRIFT FARM IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE PAYMENT OF YOUR CUSTOMS FEES. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS.
IF CANADIAN CUSTOMS ARE NOT PAID AND THE ORDER IS RETURNED TO US AS A RESULT OF YOUR NON-PAYMENT OF CUSTOMS FEES, WE WILL CHARGE YOUR ACCOUNT ON FILE FOR THE RETURN SHIPPING COST TO US.

If you do not wish to pay UPS a brokerage fee, we suggest you ship via US Mail (USPS) or find a different broker to assist you with customs. US Mail/Canada Poste do NOT incur a brokerage fee on Canadian shipments.

HAZMAT ORDERS:

We ship lye, alcohol and other hazardous materials (hazmats) in accordance with US Dept. of Transportation (USDOT) and IATA regulations. We may NOT ship more than 4 lbs. of hazmats per box. We MUST ship each 4 lb. lye and each total of 64 oz. alcohol in a separate boxes. If this means we must increase the number of boxes to accomodate the numbers of 2 lb. hazmats ordered, you will be charged for the additional shipping, per the advisement on the web page (http://www.snowdriftfarm.com/dry.html and http://www.snowdriftfarm.com/perfume.html).

Please note: we may not ship citric acid or lactic acid with sodium or potassium hydroxide (lye or potash). If you order these materials together, we will ship in separate boxes and additional shipping charges may apply.

Shipments within the 48 contiguous US in excess of 200 pounds may ship by common carrier.

We pack and ship your order from our main warehouse in Tucson, AZ, unless otherwise notified.

We strive to ship all orders within 2 business days of receipt of payment.

IF YOU WOULD LIKE YOUR ORDER EXPEDITED DURING THE HOLIDAY SEASON, THERE IS A $25 IN-HOUSE FEE FOR THIS SERVICE. THE HOLIDAY SEASON BEGINS NOVEMBER 1 AND ENDS DECEMBER 24.

IF YOU HAVE CHOSEN AN EXPEDITED SHIPPING SERVICE, YOU HAVE PAID A PREMIUM TO THE DELIVERY SERVICE, NOT TO SNOWDRIFT FARM. YOUR CHOICE OF DELIVERY SERVICE LEVEL BEGINS ON THE DAY YOUR ORDER IS SHIPPED BY US, NOT THE DAY YOUR ORDER IS RECEIVED BY US.

ADDRESS CORRECTIONS:

Please verify the accuracy of the address information on your order. If the carrier must make an address correction, this delays the delivery of your order by several days, may make the package undeliverable or may incur additional shipping charges. UPS charges $5.00 for address corrections for UPS Ground and $10.00 for EXPRESS DELIVERY. This charge may be passed along to you if the address that you provided results in an additional charge to Snowdrift Farm.

Misdirected shipments, due to customer error, or abandoned shipments (orders not picked up at the delivery address provided, such as a UPS HUB) are subject to re-direct fees and/or return shipping charges by the shipper.

INSURANCE:

IF YOU CHOOSE A SHIPPING METHOD THAT DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY INCLUDE INSURANCE, SNOWDRIFT FARM IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES THAT MAY BE INFLICTED BY THE SHIPPER. The purchaser is responsible for choosing the shipping method and for the level of insurance purchased, if any, on a per order basis.

FREE SHIPPING:

FREE UPS GROUND SHIPPING is offered ONLY on orders equaling $500 in product total or more, or with special promotions. Free shipping is available only within the 48 contiguous US states. Sorry, we do not offer multiple discounts, including Saver's Club discounts, with free shipping. You may choose either free shipping or the discount. Shipping usually equals 10-15% of the invoice. There is NO FREE SHIPPING ON BULK items. Ineligible items are marked in red on our website.

THERE IS NO FREE SHIPPING ON BULK WEIGHTS such as 50 pounds sacks or cases or barrels. Exceptions to free shipping are clearly marked in red on our web pages.

NOTE: We do not ship multiple single containers free. For instance, if you order 10 single gallons of oil, instead of 2 x 5 gallons of oil, you will be charged shipping for those gallons of oil. Orders containing over 3 single gallons of oil will be charged for the excess shipping weight.

OTHER DISCOUNTS:

From time to time, Snowdrift Farm offers discounts storewide. You may not use more than one discount per order. If you choose free shipping on your $500 order, you can not use the storewide discount, as well. You may only use one storewide discount per order. We will contact you to confirm which discount or free shipping you prefer to have applied to your order.

RETURNS:

Snowdrift Farm does not ship "on approval". ALL returns must be authorized by Snowdrift Farm. There are no exceptions.

Call us toll free at 1-888-999-6950 to receive an authorization. All returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee. All returns must be received within 7 days of authorization.

All authorized returns must be received within 7 days of authorization. Please include a copy of your invoice with the return authorization number written on it. Returns made after 7 days are refused and the sale is considered final. Unauthorized or late returns will be discarded and no credit issued. There are no exceptions.

All sales are considered final after 30 days. There are no exceptions.

Class registration and refund policy: Snowdrift Farm will apply 50% of your class registration fee to an upcoming class with us if you cancel up to 30 days before the class is scheduled. If you register for a class within the 30 days prior to the class date and can not attend, we will try to accomodate your request for an exchange on an upcoming class, but can not guarantee you will be able to get into the class you choose.

There are no exceptions. Though we appreciate that emergencies occur, please be sure you can attend prior to signing up for classes. By purchasing a seat in any of our classes you agree to our terms.

CLAIMS:

Please call us immediately if your shipment is damaged. Damage claims must be made within 3 business days of receipt of your shipment. All damage claims are subject to verification by UPS or the USPS, at their discretion. Please do not discard the box or material enclosed as it may be required by the delivery service for verification.

In regard to damage claims: please be sure to pick a delivery service and level of service that provides insurance. IF YOU CHOOSE A SHIPPING METHOD THAT DOES NOT INCLUDE INSURANCE, SNOWDRIFT FARM IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES THAT MAY BE INFLICTED BY THE SHIPPER. The purchaser is responsible for choosing the shipping method and the level of insurance purchased, if any, on a per order basis.

Defective or damaged merchandise will be replaced with the same product.

DISCLAIMER:

Snowdrift Farm is not responsible for the misuse of any products we sell. We welcome your questions about the use of our products and suggest that that you experiment in small batches, writing everything down.

We take our intellectual property very seriously, and hope you do, too. We freely allow the use of our copyrighted formulas and processes in the creation of your own products.
